Dr. Sabrina J. Ellis

Dr. Sabrina Ellis is a native of Ohio and a product of the Akron Public School System. As a graduate of Notre Dame College of Cleveland, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology 1996. Pursuing higher education at Ashland Theological Seminary, Dr. Ellis graduated in May of 2005 with a Master of Divinity degree, with an emphasis in Clinical Pastoral Counseling. In June of 2011, a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Transformational Leadership from Ashland Theological Seminary was awarded to her. She is also the recipient of the John Maxwell certification for speaker, trainer, and coach.
As a scholar and a leader, Dr. Ellis’ mission has broadened to affect those in need of relationship strengthening, finding purpose in identity formation and encouraging burgeoning leaders. Her mission is to transform lives individually and in groups in every forum. Speaking, teaching and coaching are the primary ways she has chosen to realize such success.

In addition to being an author of two books and editor of one, Dr. Sabrina has served as the keynote speaker for The Black Women’s Political Action Committee’s 31st Annual Fundraiser in Cleveland, Ohio. She is also the founder and CEO of a girl’s mentoring program providing a learning experience that promotes self-confidence and basic life skills. For more than 20 years, Dr. Ellis has had the responsibility for planning and hosting a conference for women who are married to church leaders. She is married to Bishop J. Delano Ellis, and together they enjoy 6 adult children and a host of grandchildren.
